SOLAR BOLLARDS

Any of our concrete bollards can be controlled from a remote solar panel. To conserve energy, we recommend using a 4.5 or 7.5-watt LED, or a 7 or 13-watt PL fluorescent. We use color corrected lamps to approximate the color of an incandescent Halogen lamp. Since the light is installed in our bollards so it will be 24" above grade, any of the lamps will give enough light to illuminate a walkway.

The size of the remote solar panel is determined by the wattage of each fixture and the total number of fixtures. It should be installed at an angle facing south to capture as much solar energy as possible. The distance between the panel and the fixtures as well as the total load of the fixtures determines the length of the wire.

The remote solar panel assembly collects the solar energy and stores it in a battery.

The battery stores enough energy to operate fixtures for many nights even if there
has been inclement weather for several days.

We will provide you with the solar power assembly, a time clock and a battery.
